“LORD, I AM A FATHER”

“The declaration, ‘Lord, I Am a Father,” what that means to me is I am the spiritual leader in my home. I am to model God’s love to be Christ-like in my home, towards my wife and to my children. There is no greater honor than that.” (Dale)

“If you want healthy children, you and your wife have to have a healthy relationship.” (Dan)

“I thought I had the right stuff in me but when I graduated from Father School… I’m not a good father as I thought I was…” (Dean)

Father School USA is a non-denominational ministry that seeks to inform and transform men to take responsibilities as followers of Jesus Christ in their homes, as godly husbands and fathers. At the end of the conference, men are challenged to confess, “Lord, I am a father,” and commit to living a life that is pleasing to God by being faithful in our roles in our homes. The ministry first teaches what it means to be a man of God, and how to be a godly husband and father based on the Scriptures and modeling Christ as the perfect God-Man. We believe in the motto, “Strong Father, Strong Family,” which means to have a strong family unit, men must take strong leadership in their homes.

“But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.” (1 Cor.11:3)

“Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her.” (Eph.5:22-25)

“Nevertheless let each individual among you also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see to it that she respect her husband.” (Eph.5:33)

“You husbands likewise, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with a weaker vessel, since she is a woman; and grant her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.” (1 Pet.3:7)

“And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph.6:4)
