Here is another person that inspires and challenges my faith. Nick was born without limbs in 1982 in Australia and has never experienced a normal human growth. He has never known what it feels like to walk on the beach, ride a bicycle, kick a soccer ball with his feet. He has never known what it feels like to eat with fork and spoon, write a letter, shake someone using his hand. Yet, he did not allow any of these disabilities and limitations to truly experience the quality of life that God has given him. Today, he is married to a beautiful and godly woman with four children! His most read, watched, and listened to testimony of “Life Without Limbs” is still used by God to persuade to trust in Christ, and motivate them to serve Him despite obstacles and limitations. Every time I see or hear him, I am reminded of Apostle Paul’s words:
“And He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.’ Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ’s sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Cor.12:9-10)
May his life without limb in Christ encourage you to live a life of faithfulness to God no matter who you are and what kind of limitation you face.
