Henry Blackaby’s teaching on Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God has helped me greatly during the early years of my ministry and Christian life. I believe that his teachings are God-inspired and timeless biblical principles that can be applied for believers in the days of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah, Peter, Paul, and even us. Although he has passed away early this year, his impact is still felt through the ministries he left behind. God has truly blessed him and will continue to bless the church into the future. The seven realities of experiencing God, when understood and practiced, will help any believer to see where God is at work and join Him. Let it help you as much as it helped me to understand God’s will and obey it to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
“Father, don’t ever let me look at my difficult circumstances and question Your love for me. Your love was forever settled on the cross. That has never changed and it will never change for me. After what You did for me, I will never question whether You love me.” (Henry Blackaby)
“Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and greater works than these will He show Him, that you may marvel.” (Jesus, Jn.5:19-20)

Seven Realities of Experiencing God:
- God is always at work around you.
- God pursues a continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
- God invites you to become involved with Him in His work.
- God speaks by the Holy Spirit through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church to reveal Himself, His purposes, and His ways.
- God’s invitation for you to work with Him always leads you to a crisis of belief that requires faith and action.
- You must make major adjustments in your life to join God in what He is doing.
- You come to know God by experience as you obey Him, and He accomplishes His work through you.
